1. Who we are
Mimo is operated by MostImportantMoment Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales , with its registered office at C/O 2nd Floor, 26 Goodge Street, London. W1T 2QG ("Mimo", "we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. You can contact us about anything in this notice at support@mimo.trade.
2. What this notice covers
This notice explains how we handle personal data collected through our website (www.mimo.trade) and our beta interest registry. The forms you can use to register interest in Mimo as a fan or creator, a partner organisation, or an AI or data team. When the Mimo app launches, the data processed within it will be covered by a separate, fuller privacy policy, which we will publish before launch.
3. What we collect
Registration details. When you register your interest we collect your name, email address, which audience you belong to (fan/creator, partner, or AI team), and any organisation or role details the relevant form asks for.
Your marketing choice. Whether or not you ticked the box asking us to email you updates, together with a record of when and how you gave or declined that permission.
Correspondence. Anything you send us if you reply to our emails or contact us directly.
Technical data. Information about your visit to our website, such as IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you view, collected via cookies as described in section 9.
We do not ask for, and you should not submit, any sensitive (special category) personal data through the registry.
4. How we use your data, and our legal grounds
UK data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for each use of your data. Ours are:
To manage your registration and respond to you. We use your registration details to operate the beta registry, answer your questions, and contact you about your registration where necessary. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running the registry and taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.
To send you updates, blog posts and Mimo news, only if you asked us to. We will only send you marketing emails if you ticked the consent box on the registration form. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email or by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect your registration.
To understand how our website is used. We use analytics to see which pages are read and how visitors reach us, so we can improve the site. Legal basis: your consent, given through the cookie banner.
To comply with the law. We may process data where necessary to meet our legal obligations or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Legal basis: legal obligation and legitimate interests.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use registry data to train AI models. We do not make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Who we share your data with
We use a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our instructions: Webflow (website hosting), Pipedrive (our registration forms, contact management and email) and: analytics provider, Google. We may also share data with our professional advisers, with authorities where the law requires it, and, if Mimo is ever involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, with the parties to that transaction under appropriate protections. We do not share registry data with any other third party without your explicit consent.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers may process data outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we ensure an adequate level of protection through UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or equivalent safeguards.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep registry data for as long as the beta programme runs and for up to 12 months after Mimo’s public launch, after which it is deleted or anonymised unless you have become a Mimo user. If you unsubscribe from marketing, we keep the minimum record needed to honour that choice. We keep records of consent for as long as we rely on them, as evidence that it was properly given. You can ask us to delete your registration at any time (section 8).
8. Your rights
You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; have inaccurate data corrected; have your data deleted; restrict or object to our processing; receive your data in a portable format; and withdraw any consent you have given, at any time. Exercising these rights is free, and we will respond within one month. To use any of them, email support@mimo.trade.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). We would welcome the chance to resolve your concern first.
9. Cookies
Our website uses essential cookies needed for it to function [and, with your consent, analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used]. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies through the banner shown on your first visit and change your choice at any time.
10. Age
The website may be visited by anyone, but the beta registry is intended for people aged 18 or over. If you believe someone under 18 has registered, contact us and we will remove their details.
11. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. We will post the current version here with its date, and if a change materially affects how we use your data, we will email registered users before it takes effect.
